Birthday

Which design suits the party?

A kids’ party can be bright and playful. For a grown-up birthday a calmer design often works better, maybe with a photo of the birthday boy or girl. A milestone like 30, 50 or 70 can look a little more festive. You change the text, colours and photo yourself.

What to put on the invitation

Start with the date, the start and end time and the address. Then add what guests usually want to know for a birthday:

  • whether it’s a surprise party, so nobody gives it away
  • a gift idea, or that no gifts are needed
  • for a kids’ party: what time children can be picked up
  • the date you’d like an answer by

When to send it

For an ordinary birthday, two to three weeks ahead is enough. For a big party or a milestone birthday, allow four to six weeks. Plans change? Edit the event once and every guest sees the new details through the same link.
