Time zones for guests abroad

If a guest lives in another country, their calendar puts the entry at the right local time automatically. You don’t need to do anything.

Which time zone your invitation uses

When you create an invitation, Eventinfo.pro takes the time zone of the computer or phone you’re using. The time you enter applies in that time zone. Choosing a new time in Change details doesn’t change the time zone.

An example. Elizabeth and James get married in London at 2 pm. A cousin in New York taps Add to calendar and sees 9 am in her calendar. That’s correct: New York is five hours behind.

The time in your text

The text on your invitation isn’t converted. Every guest sees exactly what you typed. For guests abroad, it helps to add which time you mean, for example “2 pm (UK time)”. That matters most for an online meeting or livestream everyone joins at the same moment.

Created the invitation while travelling? If you made it in a different time zone from the event, the time in your guests’ calendars may be off. You can’t change this yourself, so email help@eventinfo.pro with your invitation’s reference number.
